The portal integrates seamlessly with our Learning Management System (Moodle), Google Workspace for Education, Zoom for virtual classrooms, and all other university platforms — giving you a unified, frictionless experience.

First Time Using the Portal?

Follow these simple steps to set up your account and start exploring everything the IHU Student Portal has to offer.

Check Your Enrollment Email

After your admission is confirmed, you'll receive a welcome email at the address you provided during application. This email contains your Student ID, temporary password, and portal login link.

Set Up Your Account

Visit portal.ih.university and log in with your Student ID and temporary password. You'll be prompted to create a new secure password and set up two-factor authentication.

LMS Integration (Moodle)

The Student Portal connects directly to Moodle, IHU's Learning Management System. Access course materials, submit assignments, participate in discussion forums, and take quizzes without switching platforms.

All integrated into the portal with SSO. Your student email (yourname@student.ih.university) serves as your university identity for all academic communications and collaboration.

Two-Factor Authentication

Every account is protected by 2FA using authenticator apps, SMS codes, or email verification. This adds an extra layer of security beyond your password.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Student Portal, account access, and features.

Visit portal.ih.university and enter your Student ID and password. If it's your first time, use the temporary password from your enrollment email. You'll be prompted to create a new password and set up two-factor authentication.

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and enter your Student ID or registered email. You'll receive a password reset link within minutes. If you also can't access your email, contact the IT Help Desk at it@ih.university with a copy of your student ID for identity verification.

Yes! The Student Portal is fully responsive and works on any device with a modern web browser. We also offer a dedicated mobile app for iOS and Android with push notifications, offline access to downloaded materials, and biometric login (Face ID / fingerprint).

During the registration period, go to "Course Registration" in your portal. Browse courses by department, use the visual schedule builder to avoid conflicts, add courses to your cart, and submit for advisor approval. You'll receive a confirmation email once your registration is approved. If a course is full, you can join the waitlist.

Navigate to the "Financial Center" module. You'll see your current balance, due dates, and payment options. Click "Make a Payment" to pay by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or PayPal. To set up a payment plan, click "Payment Plans" and choose from 3, 6, or 12-month installment options (interest-free).

Go to "Documents & Requests" in the portal and select "Official Transcript." Choose the delivery method (digital PDF with verification link or physical copy). Digital transcripts are delivered within 2 business days. Physical copies take 5–7 business days. Each transcript request has a small processing fee displayed during checkout.

Yes! After your first login, you'll be offered an interactive guided tour of the portal. You can restart this tour anytime from "Settings > Help > Portal Tour." We also have video tutorials on our YouTube channel covering every major feature in detail.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues & Solutions

Experiencing a problem? Try these quick fixes before contacting support. Most issues can be resolved in under 2 minutes.

Portal page won't load

Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload the page. Try a different browser or incognito/private mode. Check your internet connection and disable any VPN or ad-blockers temporarily.

2FA code not working

Ensure your device's time is synced correctly (auto-set in settings). If using an authenticator app, make sure the IHU entry matches the QR code you originally scanned. If locked out, contact the IT Help Desk for a temporary bypass code.

Grades not showing for a course

Grades appear only after the instructor publishes them. Check the course page on Moodle for grade release dates. If grades should be visible but aren't, contact your instructor or the Academic Affairs office.

Payment not processing

Verify that your card details are correct and your card is enabled for international/online transactions. Try a different payment method. If using a bank transfer, allow 2–3 business days for processing. Contact the Finance Office if the issue persists.

Course not appearing after registration

Ensure your registration has been approved by your academic advisor (check "Registration Status"). Some courses appear in Moodle only on the semester start date. If approved but still missing after the start date, contact the Registrar's Office.
