Stay on Track with IHU's Academic Timeline

The Academic Calendar is your essential reference for semester start and end dates, registration periods, examination windows, holidays, and university events throughout the academic year.

Infinite Horizons University operates on a three-semester system — Fall, Spring, and Summer — giving students maximum flexibility to pace their studies according to their personal and professional commitments. Each semester is carefully structured to balance coursework, assessment, and breaks, ensuring a sustainable and productive learning experience.

All dates listed below are applicable to online programs across all four faculties. Students enrolled in specific intensive programs or professional certificates should also consult their program-specific schedules, which may include additional workshops, live sessions, or capstone deadlines.

Note: The university reserves the right to make adjustments to the academic calendar when necessary. Students will be notified of any changes via email and the student portal at least two weeks in advance.

Key Calendar-Related Policies

Understanding these policies will help you navigate deadlines and make informed decisions throughout the academic year.

Add/Drop Policy

Students may add or drop courses during the first week of each semester without any academic or financial penalty. Courses dropped during this period will not appear on the student's transcript. After the add/drop window closes, standard withdrawal policies apply.

Withdrawal Policy

Students may withdraw from individual courses up to the published withdrawal deadline for each semester. Withdrawn courses will appear on the transcript with a "W" notation, which does not affect the cumulative GPA. After the withdrawal deadline, students will receive the grade earned based on completed coursework.

Incomplete Grade Policy

A grade of "Incomplete" (I) may be granted in exceptional circumstances when a student is unable to complete final requirements due to documented emergencies. Students must petition their instructor and receive approval from the academic dean. Incomplete coursework must be submitted within 30 days of the semester end date or the grade converts to an "F."

Attendance & Participation

While IHU offers asynchronous learning flexibility, students are expected to maintain consistent engagement with course materials, discussion forums, and assignments. Courses with scheduled live sessions require attendance at a minimum of 80% of synchronous meetings. Attendance records contribute to participation grades where applicable.

Tuition Refund Schedule

Students who withdraw from the university entirely may be eligible for a partial tuition refund based on the following schedule: 100% refund during the add/drop period, 75% refund during weeks 2–3, 50% refund during weeks 3–4, and no refund after week 4. Scholarship recipients should consult the Financial Aid Office before withdrawing.
