IHU operates on a rolling admissions basis with three primary intake periods:

• Fall Semester: Priority deadline July 15, final deadline August 15
• Spring Semester: Priority deadline November 15, final deadline December 15
• Summer Session: Priority deadline March 15, final deadline April 15

We recommend applying by the priority deadline to ensure the best chance of acceptance and scholarship consideration.

Once your application is complete with all required documents, our admissions committee typically reviews applications within 2–3 weeks. You will receive an email notification with your decision along with next steps for enrollment.

During peak application periods (June–August), review times may extend to 4 weeks. You can check your application status anytime through the IHU Application Portal.

Yes, IHU accepts transfer credits from accredited institutions. Here is how the process works:

• Submit official transcripts from your previous institution during the application process.
• Our academic evaluation team reviews each course for equivalency with IHU curriculum.
• Courses must have a minimum grade of C (or equivalent) to be considered for transfer.
• A maximum of 50% of program credits may be transferred.

Transfer credit evaluation is completed within 2 weeks of receiving official transcripts.

English proficiency is required for all applicants whose native language is not English. We accept the following:

• TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 80
• IELTS Academic: Minimum overall band of 6.5
• Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 110

Yes. IHU has a transparent refund policy based on the timing of withdrawal:

• Before classes begin: 100% refund (minus non-refundable application fee)
• Within first 2 weeks: 80% refund
• Weeks 3–4: 50% refund
• After week 4: No refund

IHU uses a blended online learning model that combines:

All courses are delivered through our Learning Management System (LMS), accessible 24/7 from any device.

You will need the following to participate in IHU courses:

• A computer (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook) or tablet with a webcam and microphone
• Stable internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps for HD video sessions)
• Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
• Zoom application for live sessions
• Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for assignments

Some specialized courses may require additional software, which will be provided free of charge or at a student discount.

We understand that our students are located across multiple time zones. Here is our policy:

• Most live sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours for students who cannot attend.
• Attendance at a minimum of 60% of live sessions is recommended for the best learning experience.
• Some courses may require attendance at specific sessions (such as group presentations or exams), which will be announced at the start of the semester.

All live sessions are scheduled in Eastern Standard Time (EST/EDT), as IHU is based in Delaware, USA. However, we accommodate our global student body by:

• Offering multiple session times for popular courses
• Recording all live sessions for asynchronous access
• Scheduling key events at rotating times to be fair to all regions
